The end?

So...am I understanding all the previews correctly? "Army Wives" is done completely after this season?

Nooooooooooooooooo!

Should have never gotten rid of Pam.

Okay, maybe that's not the reason for it ending, but I miss her.

Catherine Bell tweeted this afternoon that the show has yet to be canceled or renewed. So, really, there's nothing definite yet. I do agree that the ads are ominous, though. :P

With the LeBlanc situation, I don't see how they can renew it. How many times can something "come up" and the main characters stay at Fort Marshall?

It seems like they are trying to change the show to just cycle through a bunch of different wives like ER did. That or all the actors are just trying to leave a burning ship...the show has been seriously deteriorating for the last two seasons. That said, I believe Lifetime is leaning towards renewal, it is still their "flagship" series.

Ooh. Or maybe I should say "Eww." lol I don't think I like that. We've spent years getting close to these families, and now they're going to switch that up.

Yeah I don't like it at all. The show was always more about the relationship between the core characters than the trials of being a military spouse, but we haven't really seen them all together since season four. Now it seems they are trying to replace Pamela, Roxy and Claudia Joy with Gloria, Charlie and Jackie. At this point I really just watch the show out of loyalty and the fact that there isn't much else on during the summer.

Yeah, but the previews did show Roxy saying something about Trevor wanting to go to Afghanistan with his batallion even though they had already made these arrangements.

I was thinking when I saw the previews that it could be the end. But also if it was the end, wouldn't they want to hype it up more? Like, TNT has been advertising the series finale of The Closer for a year (maybe I'm exaggerating, but it feels like it!).

I agree; bring Pamela back! And don't dare get rid of Roxy and Trevor!

I read somewhere online that they were going to continue the show for two more years, but filming it in LA. I'm not quite sure why they would do that, but the preview did say "big changes" are coming. So, I don't know what to think! But usually Lifetime tends to renew it after the season is done airing (which doesn't make sense because then the writers can't give us a proper ending, lol) so I think it could go either way. I know Catherine Bell signed a two-year deal with ABC, but that's just ABC in general so I guess it doesn't necessarily have to be with Army Wives.

I don't know what to think! Like someone else said, it is their BIG series, I think they would lose viewership of a lot of other shows if they cancelled it because many people wouldn't watch the channel to know what else was on it if it weren't for AW. Other than Dance Moms & Coming Home, what series do they have that people actually watch? I, too, am still bitter they got rid of Pam & Chase, they were the only believable couple on the show! It would be a shame to end it now, so many military spouses & families, like me, really enjoy the show despite how far fetched it can be at times; it's the only show other than Coming Home we can relate to.

Like dani_ellie said, it hasn't really been renewed or canceled... However I think they're spinning it like it is, because remember at the end of season 5 (I think, memory is foggy), they had that big dinner and fort marshal closing down? They did that because weren't sure what would happen with the show...
